The New York Yankees just finished up a thrilling American League Division Series (ALDS) with the mighty Cleveland Indians. The Indians took the first two games of the best-of-five series, and many experts did not believe the Yankees could recover from this deficit. However, the Yankees didn’t stop fighting, which propelled them to three straight victories.
One former Yankee that is ecstatic about the Bronx Bombers’ ALDS victory is Alex Rodriguez. Currently, A-Rod is a special advisor for the Yankees. as well as a baseball analyst for Fox.
Fittingly, A-Rod was one of the analysts on Fox Sports 1’s postgame show following Wednesday night’s Game 5. However, former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was also an analyst on the show.
Over the course of the postseason, it’s been no secret that A-Rod has been pulling for the Yankees, and Big Papi has been pulling for the Red Sox. As a result, a friendly and jovial rivalry has developed between A-Rod and Big Papi while on the air. Last night was no different. In fact, A-Rod even attempted to put a Yankees shirt on Big Papi, who never saw it coming.
Undoubtedly, this lighthearted feud is far from over. As the postseason rolls on, it will certainly be entertaining to follow this rivalry.
