It was announced today that the Dodgers are sending Logan Forsythe and Rob Segedin to the 10-day disabled list. To fill the role of the both these players, the Dodgers are recalling infielder Chris Taylor and outfielder Brett Eibner.
Forsythe is dealing with a fractured right toe, while Segedin is suffering from a strained big right toe. Segedin suffered his injury on Monday, which was his first game this season with the club. While Forsythe was injured on Tuesday, when he was hit by a pitch by Colorado’s Kyle Freeland. Segedin should be back on the team by the beginning of next week.
Broken bones in the foot usually take four to six weeks to properly heal, but Forsythe hopes to be back in a couple of weeks. This season Forsythe has been playing decent for the Dodgers, as he is hitting .295 with 13 hits and three RBI. It is early in the season but the Dodgers are struggling, going 4-6 in their last 10 games.
