It seems like the Grizzlies always have bad luck with injuries. Chandler Parsons is rocking a max contract and only played in 34 games last year. The latest injury news involves swingman Ben McLemore, who broke his foot during a pickup game in LA.
McLemore underwent a successful surgery on the non-displaced fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. The official recovery timetable is 12 weeks, which (barring setback) would see him return in early November.
McLemore has spent his entire career with the Kings, posting career averages of 9.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists with a shooting slash of 41.7% overall shooting, 35.2 from three, 78% free throws. He signed a two-year, $10.6 million contract with Memphis on July 6th.
Always hate to see anyone hampered with injuries. Best of luck to McLemore during his rehab process.

Maybe Ben’s career will take off after a change of scenery from Sac. Hope he comes back and plays well.
