The Oklahoma City Thunder have hired former Magic general manager Rob Hennigan to a front office role.
Although his official role has yet to be announced, Hennigan will probably serve in a similar capacity as former OKC executive/assistant GM/team counsel Michael Winger, who left earlier this summer to become the GM of the LA Clippers.
Hennigan worked for the Oklahoma City franchise prior to leaving for Orlando, where he was the GM from 2012-2017. He was fired in April after the Magic failed to make it into the playoffs for the fifth straight season.

His tenure in Orlando was less than ideal, but now Hennigan will get to work on draft stuff with GM Sam Presti in OKC. Talk about a better situation.
