Last night, the Cleveland Cavaliers were in Beantown to take on the Boston Celtics, which also served as a return to Boston for the Cavaliers’ Isaiah Thomas. Just one night prior, Thomas made his season debut for the Cavaliers against the Portland Trail Blazers; but, the Cavaliers’ staff sat Thomas out of last night’s game against the Celtics to allow his body to recover (Thomas is coming off a hip injury that left him out of action for several months).
Despite not seeing any action, Thomas still sat on the Cavaliers’ bench to watch his squad take on the Celtics, who have the best record in the Eastern Conference (31-10). Before the second quarter got underway, Thomas was featured on the jumbotron, and got a stellar reaction from a Boston crowd that clearly has not forgotten about the contributions Thomas made to the organization.
Even with all the hoopla over Thomas’s Cavaliers debut, and his return to Boston, the spotlight hasn’t been solely on him. In fact, Thomas’s son, Jaiden, doesn’t seem to mind taking some of the spotlight away from his father.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLSNJvCPQho
