The torch has been passed. First it was the crying flute player in the Villanova band who went viral, and now it’s the son of Northwestern’s athletic director. After being down 20 points to Gonzaga on Saturday, Northwestern came all the way back, only to fall short and lose in the round of 32.
Towards the end of the game, this kid, along with most Northwestern fans, were extremely unhappy with the officiating. This kid happened to wear the displeasure on his sleeve and unfairly became the butt of a ton of jokes on Twitter.
Here are some of the funniest tweets that came from the television debut of the “Crying Northwestern kid.”
