Bookser, a redshirt junior, played as a freshman at right tackle until his switch to right guard last season where he started all 13 games.
Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi released the following statement:

Bookser has a long list of charges that include “driving under the influence, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to drive at a safe speed, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles, and operation of a vehicle without an official certificate.
The team has yet to release a statement on the consequences of the arrest.
Because this is not his first offense, I don’t see how the University of Pittsburgh’s football program can allow Bookser to remain on the team.
