Win big this week while you still can.
The NFL regular season and fantasy football season are quickly nearing thier ends. Best of luck to those of you in the playoffs of your standard leagues. Luckily for those of you who didn’t make it, DFS will still be viable for the next few weeks. There is still time to make money before it’s too late.
The price for each player on both FanDuel and DraftKings is listed below. If the price on one site is in bold, then that player qualifies for the Bargain Bin on that site only. If you don’t already play on both sites, I highly recommend giving it a shot.
Here are this week’s money-making cheap plays:
Alex Smith (FanDuel - $7000 // DraftKings - $5100)
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports
Alex Smith has enjoyed some fantasy success on the road this season, averaging an impressive 19.1 points per game on DraftKings (16.5 ppg at home). This week he has the pleasure of facing a Ravens pass defense that was just gashed by Russell Wilson and company. Smith’s FanDuel price is decent, but to get him for nearly the minimum on DraftKings is too cheap to pass up.
Denard Robinson (FD - $6300 // DK - $4600) - T.J. Yeldon suffered a sprained MCL in last week’s game against the Colts and is almost certainly not going to suit up this week. That leaves Robinson as the lead back for the Jags in what should be a high-scoring affair against the Falcons. The game currently has an over/under of 49 points, third highest of the week. Robinson is a solid play in both cash games and tournaments.
Honorable Mention: David Johnson (FanDuel)
Michael Floyd (FD - $6100 // DK - $4400)
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
Floyd isn’t on this list due to injury or any special circumstance. The man has simply been playing lights out. He’s scored six touchdowns in his last seven games and gone for over 100 yards in four of his last five. Squaring off against a porous Eagles secondary, Floyd has a strong chance to outplay his cheap price tag on both sites.
Dontrelle Inman (FD - $5000 // DK - $3000) - With Stevie Johnson unlikely to play this Sunday, Inman is in line to start opposite Malcom Floyd for the Chargers. The Dolphins’ pass defense has been very beatable this season and could help the Chargers’ struggling passing game get back on track. He’s not safe enough for cash games, but Inman’s dirt-cheap price tag will give your tournament lineup some upside .
Benjamin Watson (FD - $5600 // DK - $4800)
Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
The Saints offense has been significantly more efficient at home this season. On Sunday they will welcome a subpar Lions defense to the Superdome in a game that has an over/under of 51 points, tied for the highest of Week 15. In what should be a high-scoring game, Watson has a good chance of getting in the end zone. His price tag isn’t unreasonable on DraftKings but its not cheap either.
Honorable Mention: Heath Miller
Houston Texans (FD - $4800 // DK - $2500): The Texans defense has been playing better as of late, while the Colts offense has not. Houston is on the road which isn’t a good thing for fantasy defenses, but if you need to save cap space at defense the Texans are a respectable option.
