Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Suspended by New York

New York Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been suspended by the team after leaving the team on Wednesday. Head coach Ben McAdoo said that he and Rodgers-Cromartie had spoken on Tuesday and that the cornerback left the team’s facility on Wednesday morning.

Jordan Canaan of ESPN reported that Giants safety Landon Collins told reporters that Rodgers-Cromartie and McAdoo got into an “altercation” during Sunday’s loss to the Chargers.

The Giants can’t seem to catch any luck, as this bizarre turn of events is just the latest piece of bad news for the team, as star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was recently announced to be out for the season with a fractured ankle. In addition to Beckham, wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Harris also suffered season-ending foot or ankle injuries last Sunday in a game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Giants are 0-5 with all sorts of problems offensively and defensively. The SQ will continue to monitor this story as it develops.
