New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski apologized to Buffalo Bills safety Tre’Davious White after a hit that resulted in the rookie being place in concussion protocol.
Gronkowski, who was penalized for unnecessary roughness, told reporters after the game that he regretted the hit. He said, “I’m not in the business of that. It was a lot of frustration. At that moment, it happened naturally through emotions and frustration.”
Bills coach Sean McDermott said he was “not happy” and that there was “no place in the game” for that kind of action.
