Defensive end Stephon Tuitt hasn’t practiced much with the Steelers this week due to tweaking his elbow but he’s expected to play on Sunday. Tuitt told reporters today that he just wanted to be cautious with the injury since it happened this week and nothing major happened.
If Tuitt was going to be out, it would’ve been a massive loss for the Steelers. He’s one of their best defensive linemen and can really get after the passer as well. Tuitt had 19 tackles this season and 3 sacks to go along with one forced fumble. He anchors the defensive line along with Cam Heyward who also had a great season for Pittsburgh.
Tuitt will be tasked to help stop Leonard Fournette who had 180 yards rushing last time these two teams played, though 90 of them came on a garbage time touchdown with two minutes left.
That game ended up being a 30-9 win for the Jaguars.
