Falcons’ Keanu Neal Out For Season With Torn ACL

Sports Illustrated

Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl safety, Keanu Neal, will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.  He apparently suffered the injury in the first half in the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but featured in the third quarter before succumbing to the injury.

A huge part of the Falcons improving defense, Neal racked up 116 tackles last season and three forced fumbles.  As a result, he earned his first Pro Bowl selection in his sophomore year.

With Neal out, many speculate newly acquired Jordan Richards, formerly of the Patriots, may slot into the role or 2017 5th-round pick, Damontae Kazee.

Also a part of the injury report for the Falcons was running back Devonta Freeman, who hurt his knee, is expected to be fine.
