According to TMZ Sports, Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has announced her engagement to fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne.
Browne revealed that he decided to propose to Rousey underneath a waterfall in New Zealand. When asked what the specifics were regarding the upcoming wedding, Rousey mentioned that the couple has not chosen any place or time for the event.
UFC president Dana White stated “I’m very happy for Ronda and I’m looking forward to the wedding!”
Rousey was absent from the Octagon for nearly all of 2016 before being defeated in the first round by champion Amanda Nunez on December 30th. She has not stated whether she plans to fight again. However, White has speculated that her UFC career may be coming to a close following her loss in December.
Meanwhile, Browne has remained active with an 18-6-1 career record, but has not earned a victory since January 17, 2016.
