After 10 straight postseason wins for the Cavaliers, Game 3 showed there was more distance between them and the Warriors than originally thought by most. Kyrie Irving responded with one of his greatest offensive performances of the season on Tuesday night. With as important as LeBron is to the Cavaliers’ success, Kyrie will need to go above and beyond any of his previous performances during the (likely) Finals rematch with their rivals from the Bay Area if the team hopes to repeat.

Despite most of this year’s postseason being quite dull, the NBA’s elite should show out once again as the Warriors will likely face the Cavaliers in the Finals for the third straight year. LeBron is playing on another level right now, but without a loss yet this postseason, it’s hard to see how the Warriors’ well-oiled offensive machine could be halted on their quest toward another title.

I do like the idea of the Blue Jays donating Pillar’s salary rather than just docking his pay for the two games. As for their play, with the club already struggling to make way in the AL East, Pillar’s absence may not make much of a difference for the team.

As one who originally opposed the Rams move to Los Angeles in the first place, I think it’s clear to see the repercussions that the league is now facing by rushing into these decisions on relocating teams before all options for staying put are exhausted. Smaller markets like St. Louis and San Diego suffer heavily, and large markets like Los Angeles are not going to appreciate the newly-acquired Rams and Chargers like they once were. With three franchise currently undergoing a transition process, Goodell and the NFL as a corporation has made their priorities very transparent, and the list doesn’t include fans near the top. The Rams/Chargers Inglewood Stadium will be spectacular, and will draw in huge amounts of revenue, but with this delay, I just have to suggest that the world works in mysterious ways.

Most of the selections for this year’s All-NBA teams seem to be pretty accurate for the most part. I do believe Rudy Gobert should have been selected ahead of Anthony Davis for the First-Team because he was one of the top defensive players in the league this season, and was a key element in the Jazz’s success, as shown in their first round appearance against the Clippers. Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns also probably should’ve deserved more consideration for the teams, but it’s hard to argue against DeAndre Jordan’s selection as his field goal percentage, rebounding numbers, and defensive presence were all once again outstanding this season.

On paper, the Jazz’s lineup appears to be more evenly matched with the Warriors than many other teams in the league. However, the paint presence of Rudy Gobert has not helped the team in the slightest due to the consistent shooting of Golden State. The talent discrepancy between this Warriors team and the rest of the teams in the playoffs (let alone the league) is far too great for anyone to match through seven games, I believe. If Quin Synder’s squad can give them a scare though, the time to strike is now.

The Wizards looked like a different team during Game 3. It’s clear that Scott Brooks has his team firing on all cylinders on the defensive side of the ball. With this win, the series has become the most promising one to watch this round. The bad blood being displayed between these two teams shows how high emotions run during the playoffs. I’m all in favor of this on-the-court drama because it’s no longer commonly displayed in this age of the NBA. This matchup is reminiscent of old school professional basketball of the 80s, and I’m loving every minute of it.

This game was definitely an instant classic, and this series has been a great one to watch so far. Thomas’s performance that he dedicated to his late sister was truly inspiring, and being able to watch him battle John Wall was one of the more exciting matchups I’ve seen this postseason. The losses in the first two games will likely come back to hurt the Wizards greatly after leading by double-digits in both contests. I expect the Wizards to focus on maintaining leads in their next outing, but I don’t expect I.T. to slow down anytime soon.

The BIG3 league should definitely be an interesting watch come this June. The players are participating for money, so hopefully the extra incentive encourages them to produce quality entertainment. The unique format will be intriguing in itself. If former stars like AI and White Chocolate show that they can still ball out, I’ll be willing to tune in.

“Thor” has been a vital piece to the team since he made his debut in 2015. Without his 14 wins contributed last season, the team arguably would not have finished second in the NL East. After Sunday’s loss in which the team gave up a massive 23 runs, it appears that the Mets will not be turning around their struggling season anytime soon.
