What do the team numbers look like? Are there certain teams that are scrappier than others?

Trout leads all of baseball in fWAR, 1.6 higher than Betts. You can’t just disregard Trout’s walks, as the ability to get on base via the walk is a legit skill. Betts has plenty of protection around him in the lineup while Trout has an aging Albert Pujols and that’s basically it. While Betts has a slightly higher BA, Trout has the higher OBP, SLG, wOBA, and wRC+ which tell you a lot more the cherry picked stats you gave us.
Btw, Betts’ lead in most of the counting stats are pretty minimal, and easily accounted for when you consider Betts has batted higher in the lineup (and has 50 more PA this season).

Rizzo is tough. He hasn’t seen the kind of underperformance these other 1B have seen, but he also hasn’t particularly hit the lights off the ball either. Belt and Cabrera have both been better than Rizzo for sure. So Rizzo got lost in the shuffle. He definitely falls under the category of 1B headliner of the future though.

UPDATE: The deal gives Greinke the largest average annual value for a pitcher in MLB history, trumping David Price’s recent $31M AAV. The deal is for six years $206M ($34.3M AAV).

REALLY INTERESTING!!! Why would Colorado trade for a high-priced shortstop when they are clearly looking to rebuild? Netting top pitching prospect Miguel Castro was the huge prize for them, and they still have a high quality shortstop to trade in Reyes if they so choose. New York seems like a great fit as both the Mets and Yankees could use upgrades at SS.

For the Marlins, this move appears to have been about shedding salary. Cishek was making over $6M this year, and still has one more year of arbitration remaining (although don’t expect that salary number to go up much if at all). The return the Marlins received wasn’t great, at best a serviceable reliever in Barraclough with a full service clock remaining.

In this deal, the Astros were able to acquire a quality innings-eater without trading away much of the future. Mengden and Nottingham are barely top-20 prospects in the Astros’ system, and with the opportunity to make the playoffs this year, giving up two mid-level prospects for a guy who rivals Collin McHugh as the second best pitcher on the roster is a no-brainer of a move.
With this trade, Kazmir cannot be offered a qualifying offer as he becomes a free agent after the offseason. This makes him a lot more of an attractive open-market addition, especially for teams that do not want to part with their top draft picks.

Pigioni is a great bench guy to have! He plays plus defense and knows how to facilitate an offense. For what they’re probably investing in him, this is a great move for the Clips.

When Serena’s serve was on, Muguruza didn’t stand a chance. There were times in the match when it looked as if Serena struggled to close out games. However, she used one of the best serves in the Grand Slam Era to complete the Serena Slam.
