Hey @ClassyCardinalFan67, thanks for your comment! I agree with you that Portland has shown great respect to point guards in the past. I’m not sure who’s in the top tier of respectful fanbases in regards to point guard at this moment, but I for sure am certain that Pacers fans are generally unappreciative of the hard work that goes into point guarding. Again, thanks for your comment @ClassyCardinalFan67 and please don’t hesitate to comment further in the future!!

Why do you think that?

Not Milwaukee. Jason Kidd is firmly in control there. But Minnesota could be the one you’re thinking of, especially with the whole debacle that occurred before last season. I don’t think he’d try to get fired in Memphis to get the Wolves job, although that may be a more desirable job at this point. So to answer your question, I don’t think there’s any way he’s trying to get any other job right now.

There are some bigs 25 and under whom I didn’t even consider because they didn’t play enough minutes. But as for Dieng, the guy puts up pretty good numbers on a team that needs him (or anyone) to. That may have boosted his value some.
The weird thing is that Dieng played a similar amount of minutes as most of the guys in the 2-12 range. So even though my gut reaction to your question is yes and that the sample size could be applicable to other parts of the list, I think the answer is no in reference to Dieng. Could be I’m overlooking something(s) though.

This is really well written. I enjoyed reading this having absolutely zero interest in the San Diego Padres. Good work, man!

The Bucks are going to be fun to watch over the next few years as they continue to grow and develop. Their turnaround has to be one of the quickest and most drastic in NBA history. I also like Jason Kidd as the coach of this team–he can develop as a coach at the same rate as his players develop on the court.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Offense will still be lit, and Jeremy Johnson is going to be a name people will come to know by season’s end (barring injury or suspension). One thing I think may be overrated is the defense. I don’t necessarily think Muschamp is going to come in and fix everything this year. I think it’ll better, but I’d guess that it’ll still be the Tigers’ weakness this year.

YES!!!!!! This is a brilliant move by Chris Wallace and the Grizzlies’ front office. It will take time for Grizzlies’ fans to get used, considering how much they (we) hate(d) Matt Barnes. But I’ve been saying for a long time now, Matt Barnes would fit great with the Grizzlies. One of the NBA’s most notable tough guys will fit in great with the Grit n’ Grind era Grizz. He’s a good wing defender, has length and a bit of athleticism, AND HAS A THREE POINT SHOT. That’s right, even though it’s not consistent, he at least can shoot the ball from deep. And the best part is, Memphis gave up nothing to get him. Ok, they gave up Jannis Timma, but who the heck cares? Great move here. Great, great move.

I’m not a Hornets expert, so I don’t know exactly what this means, but I’ll take a stab at this. Zeller seems like a good young player. His numbers don’t jump, but he’s improved on both ends since his first season, which is really all you can ask from a 22-year-old. Charlotte has, in addition to Zeller, Al Jefferson and Bismack Biyombo in the post. All three live by the block, while Kaminsky has shown a three point touch in college, which will unclog the lane on offense. What do you guys think?

With the likely withdrawal of Nick Calathes to Europe (or at least not Memphis) this seems like a fine trade for the Grizzlies. They don’t pick up much salary-wise, get a veteran floor general, gave up nothing to get him, and receive a decent three point shooter off the bench. Or they get a nice expiring contract to deal during Draft Day or during Free Agency.
